Brighten your garden, woodland floor or wildflower meadow with this distinctive perennial native wildflower. Flowering in the spring, cowslips provide early colour and interest to formal and informal settings and their bright yellow bell-shaped flowers are an important early food source for bees, beetles and butterflies.

Cowslips grow in full sun or semi-shade on well-drained or heavier soils.

Best sown in late summer or autumn as cowslips need a period of chilling to break their dormancy.  They will then germinate in the spring.
