Most herbs are easy to grow from seed. The culinary herbs can be used fresh in season and then dried or frozen for winter use. Our range have all been produced to Soil Association organic standard. They will do well if grown organically or they can be grown equally well conventionally.

Angelica seed

Only non organic seed available in 2007 A plant with large flower heads. They are very decorative dried. Young stems can be candied, leaves dried for tea and young stems may be cooked with rhubarb to remove acidity. This is a tall plant that is biennial & needs vernalisation to help germiantion.

This produces a bushy herb with a strong lemon fragrance. It can be used with fish , poultry & vegetables. It is thought to promote sleep and is an essential bee plant. It can grow to 75cm and is a perennial that like full sun.
