More Customer Meadows

For every customers meadow pictures we can use we will send 25 grams of our cottage garden mix free of charge

Many times we are asked what will my meadow look like?

Over the past few years we have asked our existing customers for pictures of their meadows in digital form. (We welcome any that you have, preferably ones grown from our seed or mixtures).

On this page we have included some of the ones that have been sent to us. They demonstrate a wide range but also the difficulty in saying what your meadow will look like. The mixtures we supply are complex having up to 25 different species in them. Some species will flower in the first year some can take 2/3 years before they appear. Ox eye daisy often dominates early on

as can poppies in the first year.

Every season can be different even when it is the same mix in the same field. Hopefully the pictures as follow give you a flavour of what can work (and also sometimes when it doesn’t work the way you expect.) They also demonstrate that sometimes you get something interesting growing the meadow that did not come in the seed.

An attractive interesting meadow I am not sure all the species that are in flower were ones that came in the meadow!

A very dramatic example of sowing a meadow mix to one side then a cornfield annual mix next to it.

Red campions making an attractive display.

An established meadow with path cut through the middle

Some great pictures of an attractive meadow being enjoyed, as it should be.

A wild flower border battered by the rain but still colourful

An attractive meadow under trees

Demonstrates that you can grow wild flowers just about anywhere
