Many times we are asked what will my meadow look
like?
Over the past few years we have asked our existing
customers for pictures of their meadows in digital
form. (We welcome any that you have, preferably ones
grown from our seed or mixtures).
On this page we have included some of the ones that
have been sent to us. They demonstrate a wide range
but also the difficulty in saying what your meadow
will look like. The mixtures we supply are complex
having up to 25 different species in them. Some
species will flower in the first year some can take
2/3 years before they appear. Ox eye daisy often
dominates early on
as can poppies in the first year.
Every season can be different even when it is the
same mix in the same field. Hopefully the pictures as
follow give you a flavour of what can work (and also
sometimes when it doesn’t work the way you
expect.)

This sequence of four pictures gives you an
idea of the benefit of preparation and how in some

May 06 an finally July 06,

We have now had a couple of pictures from this meadow
in its second year and it demonstrates how much they
can change from year to year.
